A guided education
Lucid Dying
A curriculum for studying awareness, meaning, traditions, and care at the threshold of death.
Lucid dying asks whether the threshold of death can be studied, prepared for, and accompanied with more clarity than modern culture usually allows.
This project is not an official book site or a tradition of its own. It is a learning path through contemporary research, careful skepticism, contemplative lineages, practical bedside ethics, and the human question of how to meet death without reducing it to either machinery or myth.
Curriculum
From first question to mature judgment
Beginner
Learn the vocabulary: death as process, cardiac arrest, near-death experience, consciousness, bardo, ars moriendi, and palliative care.
2Intermediate
Read the evidence with source discipline: peer-reviewed studies, hospital summaries, measurement tools, and skeptical alternatives.
3Comparative
Study older traditions on their own terms, noticing both resonances and real disagreements about self, soul, mind, rebirth, and liberation.
4Applied
Translate the learning into humane presence: careful speech, grief humility, reflection, and professional care boundaries.
What this holds
A whole map, not a single answer
Evidence
A careful overview of cardiac arrest research, AWARE studies, measurement problems, and open questions.

Clinical research, contemplative practice, philosophy, care, and testimony each reveal something different about the threshold.
